Classes and Content

  • Beginner Class: Dogs competing in the Beginner class must not previously have earned a leg or certificate in a higher class. All exercises are performed with the dog on leash. The dog must be led on leash to and from the ring, and the leash must be long enough to be held loosely.
In the Beginner class, signs numbered 101–144 are used.
  • Advanced Class: Dogs competing in the Advanced class must not previously have earned a leg or certificate in a higher class. All exercises are performed off leash. The dog must be led on leash to and from the ring, and the leash may be removed up to 2 meters from the ring boundary.
In the Advanced class, signs from the Beginner class and signs numbered 201–233 are used.
  • Expert Class: Dogs competing in the Expert class must not previously have earned a leg or certificate in a higher class. All exercises are performed off leash. The dog must be led on leash to and from the ring, and the leash may be removed up to 2 meters from the ring boundary.
In the Expert class, signs from the Beginner and Advanced classes and signs numbered 301–334 are used.
  • Champion Class: This class is for dogs that have earned the title of Rally Champion. All exercises are performed off leash. The dog must be led on leash to and from the ring, and the leash may be removed up to 2 meters from the ring boundary.
In the Champion class, all of the above signs are used, including signs numbered 401–425.
  • Senior Class: This class is for dogs that are 7 years of age or older. Once a dog has competed in the Senior class—regardless of the result—it may not subsequently compete in other official classes. All exercises are performed off leash. The dog must be led on leash to and from the ring, and the leash may be removed up to 2 meters from the ring boundary.
In the Senior class, all of the above signs are used, with certain exceptions.

All exercises are carried out in accordance with current official regulations in Denmark (DKK Rules and Guideline – Rally).

The DKK Rules and Guidelines are in Danish. We recommend using an online translation service to translate the regulations, as they are unfortunately not available in an English version.

All Danish exercises and signs are shown on the DKK YouTube channel.

All Danish signs can be found on the DKK website section for Rally signs and exercises.

A valid Results Book from the Danish Kennel Club (DKK) or another FCI-recognized kennel club is required.
