To round off Curly World Seminar 2026 in true Curly style, we proudly present the Poofer Curly World Championship – a fun, fast-paced, and slightly unpredictable retrieving competition designed purely for enjoyment, with a healthy dose of funsies on top.

Timing starts when the last dummy hits the ground and stops when the last dummy is delivered to the handler’s hand. The dummies must be retrieved in the order decided by the judge, because sometimes the dog works, sometimes the handler works — and sometimes both do.

Bonuses are awarded for creative solutions, costumes, audience involvement, and other initiatives.
The Primary goal – Deliver the dummies and deliver a show.

Poofer Curly World Championship – Beginner

A test for the inexperienced dog.

Eligibility

• Minimum 12 months old on the day of the test.

Test Setup

• The dog and handler stand in the centre of the competition ground.
• One dummy is thrown in front of the dog.
• After 15 seconds, a second dummy is thrown behind the dog.

500 g canvas dummies are used.

Poofer Curly World Championship – Open

A test for the experienced dog.

Eligibility

• Minimum 18 months old on the day of the test.

Test Setup

• The dog and handler stand in the centre of the competition ground.
• One dummy is thrown into the first corner of the ground.
• After 10 seconds, a second dummy is thrown into the next corner, and so on.
• A total of four dummies are used.

500 g canvas dummies are used.

Terrain

The test is held on trimmed grass at the competition area by Ydun’s Place.

General Regulations

Each dog may only be tested once per day, but may enter on multiple days.

• Treats are not permitted during the test.
• The handler may not physically handle or touch the dog in a rough way during the test.
• The handler may not carry a stick, whip or any other object.

• Doping: Dogs must not be under medication that sedates or stimulates behavior or performance.
• Bitches in heat: Are allowed to participate, but will be scheduled last and may only be present on the competition grounds once all other dogs have finished.
• Illness/injury: Dogs showing signs of illness, lameness, or visible pregnancy may not participate.
• Bitches with puppies under 8 weeks old: Not allowed to participate.
• Neutered males: May participate.
• Chemically castrated males: May participate.
• Cryptorchid males: May participate.

The Poofer Curly World Championship is unofficial. Entries must be made via Nemtilmeld.
