At Curly World Seminar 2026, an official retrieving test will be held in cooperation with the Danish Retriever Club (DRK).
The tests are qualifying assessments of the individual dog’s hunting abilities, obedience, trainability, and temperament.
Foreign dogs may compete at the same level at which they have been awarded prizes in their home country. If the trials are not comparable, the Field Trial Committee will assess the qualification.
Documentation of achieved results must be sent to: bmj@d-r-klub.dk.
Test Format
- Conducted as a walk‑up, where judges and handlers move forward in line with shooters and throwers.
- The test simulates a hunting situation in which the line advances through the terrain. When shots are fired, the line normally pauses to observe whether game has been “shot” and must be retrieved.
